There is a growing recognition that scientific literacy, and genetic literacy, in particular, are essential to informed public decision-making. Genetics professionals and qualified educators must assume responsibility for identifying the essential components of genetic literacy. In general, the concepts of genetics are limited to the textbooks which sometimes can be less interactive and engaging. Therefore we feel that FUN-LEARNING with Comic format is ideal for youth and any forum to seed the conversation with specific topics of genetics along with allowing the audience to participate in small experiments related to the topic.
